The Black Bay Story

The Black Bay 32/36/41 made its debut in 2012 and as its name suggests offered three sizes 32, 36 and 41 mm with three dial choices: black (Ref. M79540-0006), blue and silver (Ref. M79540-0011). Initially black, the Black Bay was similar to the Rolex Explorer model because of its minimalist aesthetic. Then the blue colour made its appearance to give way today to the silver colour giving this collection a dose of monochrome.

Getting to know each other

The blue dial features a matte finish mounted on a polished steel case which makes the bezel smooth for a slim and elegant look. The Black Bay 41 ref. M79540-0004 features the text "Rotor Self-Winding" giving it a vintage feel but not only ! This one curves and "smiles" on the dial.

Snowflake and big crown

We're not going to talk here about the weather above our heads but about the weather on our wrists! Its mythical dial inspired by the first Tudor dives features the so-called "Snowflake" hands, characteristic of the brand's watches delivered to the French Navy in the 1970s. As for the crown, it refers to the 1958 model 7924, nicknamed Big Crown due to its prominence on the case.
