The centerpiece of the Audacieuse collection, this ring is a surprising piece of jewelry! The center stone, here a magnificent blue sapphire, seems to levitate in the center of the setting, thanks to the tension setting that holds it securely in place. If you look closely, you'll see that the tip of the stone (called the breech) does not rest on the setting, and that the gem is held in place only by the part known as the crown. Tension setting requires great precision, as the stone must be gripped tightly enough to prevent it from falling out, yet not so tightly that it breaks!
