A short history

After more than 50 years of designing spare parts, in 1964, and in response to a call for tenders from the French Navy, ZRC presented a diving show: the Grands Fonds 300 was born. Since 2015, this model, which has since become a watchmaking icon, has made a great comeback.

This ZRC French Navy watch has been designed by and for divers, which explains its unique technical finishing. First of all, there is the mythical crown at 6 o'clock, which you must screw on in order to put the NATO bracelet back in place and slip your watch on your wrist. The one-piece steel case benefits from a beautiful 40.5 mm opening and is guaranteed to be totally water-resistant and non-magnetic, ensuring that the watch is water-resistant to 300 metres. Finally, the ECS system patented by the Geneva-based Manufacture facilitates the maintenance of this extreme diver's watch.

Engine side

At the heart of this ZRC Réédition Marine Nationale 1964 watch is an ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, guaranteeing a power reserve of around 38 hours, with a tolerance of +/- 7 seconds per day. The latter features large Magnum hands pointing to Superluminova-treated hour-markers (on the dial and unidirectional bezel), to ensure perfect legibility for divers even in the depths.
