An icon of Swiss watchmaking in the third millennium, the Big Bang is now being reinvented in a connected version. The House of Hublot presents the BIG BANG E!
Mise en bouche
Since its release in 2005, the Hublot Big Bang has become an icon. In 2018, a first connected version of the Big Bang in a limited series saw the light of day on the occasion of the Football World Cup in Russia. At the time, this model was literally ripped off. This is why we are very excited to see two connected watches coming to enrich the Hublot portfolio.
The 2018 model served both referees operating on the pitch and football fans who could literally vibrate to the rhythm of the competition. This new 2020 model has made great progress and features the latest generation technology with all the Big Bang codes.
Hublot DNA
All the codes that have made the Hublot brand a success are brought together to make this connected watch in Black Magic black ceramic a unique object. Its 42 mm case cut out of ceramic is built in sandwich, an innovative construction invented by Hublot in 2005. Of great complexity, it is composed of 42 parts, 27 of which are for Module K alone, the "cage" containing the digital heart of the watch. The design of its H-shaped screws and pushers, its sapphire crystal and its rubber strap with interchangeable folding clasp are unmistakable: it is indeed a genuine Hublot Big Bang!
Under the magnifying glass
This Hublot Connected porthole innovates to our great delight: the hour numerals are produced by metallization under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that covers a high-definition AMOLED touch screen. Just as it would do on a mechanical version of the Big Bang, its rotating crown with integrated push-piece enables the controls of its electronic module to be operated. Developed in partnership with other houses of the LVMH Group, the watch is here adapted and perfected to meet Hublot's exacting standards.
Transposing their traditional know-how into this new digital environment, Hublot designers have developed new watchmaking functionalities. In addition to the analog "Time Only" function, this connected watch features several traditional complications: a perfectly accurate perpetual calendar at the moon phase, second time zone GMT... Very practical, Hublot guarantees water resistance up to 30m.
The BIG BANG e runs under Wear OS by Google™ , so you can access all the applications on Google Play and receive answers at any time thanks to the Google Assistant. You can also make payments via Google Pay, get useful information and track your notifications and messages.
