The Black Bay Story

The Black Bay 32/36/41 debuted in 2012 and as the name suggests, offers three sizes 32, 36 and 41mm with three dial choices: black, blue and silver. Initially black, the Black Bay was similar to the Rolex Explorer model due to its minimalist aesthetic. Then the blue color made its appearance to give way today to the silver color giving this collection a pure and striking look.

Getting to know each other

The black dial of this Ref. M79580-0001 has a matte finish that contrasts with its mirror polished steel bezel and its case that alternates between brushed and polished finishes. This Tudor Black Bay 36 features the text "Rotor Self-Winding" giving it a vintage look but not only! Indeed this "curved" text has become a trademark, it is the Tudor "smile".

Snowflake and big crown

We are not going to talk about the weather here, but about the time that passes on our wrists. The mythical dial of this Tudor Black Bay draws its inspiration from the DNA of the first Tudor divers. Indeed, it features "Snowflake" hands, characteristic of the brand's watches delivered to the French Navy in the 1970s. As for the crown, it refers to the 1958 Tudor Ref. 7924 model, nicknamed Big Crown.
