Founded in 1918 by Georges Schaeren, an experienced Swiss watchmaker, the MIDO brand, from the Spanish "Yo mido" meaning "I measure", quickly became a byword for technical innovation. The Multifort collection was born in 1934, becoming one of the first antimagnetic watches with an automatic movement. This was followed by the Ocean Star collection in 1959 with a revolutionary monocoque case, reducing any risk of water resistance of the case back. Today, the brand is present at numerous events and is associated, among others, with Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series and the UIA, the International Union of Architects.

This discipline transforms the urban environment into obstacles to be overcome in a spectacular way, carried by two collaborators: the Australian Brodie Pawson and the French Thomas Mougne.
