Getting to know each other

The model takes on the aesthetic codes of the historic models in this 44mm version with its brushed steel cushion case. Indeed, it features the characteristic traits of the Luminors, with the 1950s-style case and its rounded, cushion-shaped case middle derived from the Radiomir case (thin-lugged case). This case sports a polished steel bezel, and is fitted with the brand's typical crown protector device to ensure its hermeticity.

Waterproof to 100 meters, the case carries its single chronograph pusher on the left side. This location was not chosen at random! It ensures that the lines of the case, dominated by the crown-protector bridge, are not altered, but also makes it easier for right-handed people to handle the chronograph.

The dial features the "sandwich" construction dear to the brand, and retains the attributes that made the early military models famous: large Arabic numerals, indexes and baton hands, all luminescent!

Panerai's first manufacture chronograph caliber

This watch is powered by the P.2004 caliber, the first chronograph movement entirely designed and manufactured by Officine Panerai within the Neuchâtel manufacture. This movement features a series of notable features and innovations: manual winding, 8-day power reserve with linear indication, second time zone with day/night indication, second hand reset device for precision synchronization, single-pusher chronograph with column wheel and friction clutch.

This movement visible through the transparent back, has a unique structure, absolutely original compared to other chronograph movements. Its finish is meticulous, with brushed bridges, satin-finished chamfers and its mirror-polished screws. Another remarkable feature of this movement is its three superimposed barrels that allow it to develop a constant energy for eight days, ensuring its regularity of operation and the activation of all its functions. Its power reserve is displayed in an aperture at 6 o'clock, graduated from 0 to 8 and traversed by an index with linear indication.
