This Hamilton PSR Digital watch in black pvd-treated steel pays tribute to one of the most revolutionary watches ever made, the world's first watch with an LED display. This watch retains the original look, as well as the push-button lighting system. When it was launched in 1970, this model was an extraordinary success, despite its exorbitant price tag. Everyone dreamed of wearing one, and Hamilton was hard pressed to produce enough of them! In a nod to this legend, it appeared on the wrist of the world's most famous secret agent, James Bond, played by Roger Moore, in Live and Let Die.

What you need to know

The Hamilton PSR differs from the original in one essential respect: its display! Instead of the original LED display, which left the dial completely dark when the button was not pressed, this new version features a hybrid display. Reflective LCD screens ensure that the dial remains legible during the day, while pressing the button activates an OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display, giving the PSR the same scarlet glow as the original. Other improvements include an extra-thick sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and water resistance to 100 metres.
