A few months after the success of the new generation T-Classic PRX, Tissot is reissuing this model, this time with an automatic movement. We take a look back at this iconic watch from the 70s.

A little history

At the end of the 1960s, Tissot took advantage of the trend away from standard shapes to offer watches in trendy colours and with a pop design. It was not until 1978 that the PRX collection was born, with its tonneau-shaped case, smooth round bezel and quartz movement, all neatly integrated into a steel bracelet. It was only a few years later that the brand decided to register the name PRX: "P R" for Précise et Robuste and "X" or 10 in Roman numerals for the watch's water resistance to 10 ATM (10 bars or 100m).
