A watch with multiple complications

Since 2003, Swiss Manufacture ORIS has offered a lesson in sobriety and one of the purest expressions of traditional watchmaking with its Artelier collection. The design of these timepieces is driven by a single mantra: form should only be motivated by what is necessary. It is through this philosophy that the Artelier Chronographe, one of the most elegant watches ever designed by Oris, was born!

Made of stainless steel, this Oris watch features a 43.5 mm-diameter case and is water-resistant to 30 meters. It feels even smaller when worn, thanks to the dark dial that plays with light and depth, and the case middle that rises up over the sapphire crystal, as if to better hold back its expansion.

On this black dial with a silver rim, we find a classic chronograph organization: 3-6-9! Its design starts with a perfect circle, with that of the case, the three counters and the applied indexes. Then there's the pronounced point of the six hands and appliques. In contrast, one on top of the other stands out particularly well. The contrast of shapes is matched by the contrast of tones: the silver of the dials makes the bright steel hands and indexes easy to read. More discerning eyes will note a sunburst guilloché finish on the dial, discreet, but one that catches the light well.

Finally, this timepiece is offered on a black crocodile-patterned leather strap fitted with a stainless steel buckle.

A "Swiss Made" automatic movement

This Oris Artelier Chronograph is powered by the Oris 676 movement, designed on a Valjoux 7753 base. This automatic caliber beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a 48-hour power reserve. It features a chronograph complication with a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter and a small seconds hand. A date is also displayed in a counter at 4:30.

Visible through its transparent caseback, this movement is equipped with the famous red rotor and also features a fine adjustment and stop seconds system.
