ZRC Grands Fonds 300 MN64 Phénix Q157 automatic blue dial rubber strap 41,5 mm

The story

In collaboration with the Phoenix q157 expedition, entitled "the voice of remembrance", ZRC is supporting a team of experienced divers in their quest to locate the wreck of a French Navy submarine, which disappeared on June 15, 1939. In honor of this mission, ZRC has launched the MN64 Phenix Limited Edition GF42168PH, available in a limited edition of 200 numbered pieces.

Getting to know each other

A contemporary take on the Grands Fonds 300® of 1964, the "Réédition MN64" collection is made up of versatile, aesthetic and practical everyday diving watches. Like all ZRC® watches, these benefit from the brand's latest technical innovations integrated into the famous hexagonal monobloc case, waterproof to a depth of 1000 meters and tested to 1500M. They also feature the Crown Protection System™, which guarantees 100% functional water-resistance. Until the crown is fully screwed in, the watchband cannot be closed. The presence of the Easy Clean System, ECS®, prevents the crystallization of sea salt between the unidirectional bezel and the case. It's a unique system for cleaning the inside of the bezel with a circulation of clear water, and it's the ultimate homage to the original Grands Fonds® that's clearly part of the brand's DNA.

The model

With its 41 mm-diameter satin-finish steel case and FKM rubber strap, this version perfectly represents the modern vision of the Grands Fonds 300 dive watch! This version is something of a contemporary interpretation of the dive watch designed for the French Navy over 60 years ago.

On this version, we appreciate its blue sunray dial playing with luminous reflections, its applied indexes, its ceramic bezel, its famous ultra-legible "Magnum" hands and, finally, its rubber strap inspired by the design of the metal bracelet! The latter is very comfortable and many other colors are available for sale to change the face of this toolwatch!

A special box set!

This watch comes in a beautiful Alcantara case with numerous accessories such as a replica of the Phenix submarine, a miniature Phenix mouth tap, a strap-change tool and a watchmaker's loupe. Also included in the box is an additional leather strap that will let you change your style in a matter of moments.

Engine side

The Maison ZRC has chosen to use the new SELLITA SW300-1 movement in an elaborate version for its MN64 watches in the Grands Fonds range. In collaboration with the Swiss manufacturer, ZRC has developed an oscillating weight specifically balanced around a rotor centered on 3 axes to further enhance automatic winding. With a precision of +/- 5sec per day, this caliber also boasts a 56-hour power reserve. What's more, its locked micrometric adjustment maintains precision even during sporty use, while the INCABLOC shock absorber mounted on the balance shaft protects the heart of the movement from violent shocks.

The Expedition Director's word on this diver

"The wreck of the Phénix lies somewhere off the coast of former Indochina with 77 sailors on board. As the Second World War approached, this shipwreck would be classified as "SECRET DEFENSE".
