Speedmaster 38: The collection

Launched in 2017, OMEGA's Speedmaster 38 mm collection offers the brand's enthusiasts a luxurious interpretation of the chronograph's inimitable aesthetic while emphasizing size and simplicity. Within this collection are particularly prized models, such as the Speedmaster 38 mm "Cappuccino" in 18K Sedna™ gold, which features horizontal brown oval counters and a vertical oval date window at 6 o'clock. A design inspired by the oval counters that once adorned De Ville watches.

A sparkling icon!

In 2024, OMEGA expands its Speedmaster 38 mm collection with eight new models: two in OMEGA Sedna™ 18-carat gold, two in Moonshine™ 18-carat gold, and four in classic stainless steel with a choice of two striking dial colors.

On these new watches, there are features unique for a Speedmaster: a sparkling bezel paved with 52 diamonds measured at around 1.5 carats, a diamond-set polished crown and three diamond-ringed auxiliary dials. Of course, even with their generous pavement of precious stones, these watches remain Speedmasters in their purest form! OMEGA has remained true to the look and heritage of its most iconic chronograph...

The model

This model sports a fully polished Moonshine™ 18K gold case, a bezel set with 52 diamonds and a polished crown topped with a single diamond. The green PVD-treated dial features horizontal oval counters with silver coating and a vertical oval date window at 6 o'clock. The diamond-polished Moonshine™ 18K gold hour and minute hands are coated with green-glow white Super-LumiNova.

The watch has a polished and satin-finished Moonshine™ 18K gold bracelet featuring OMEGA's patented comfort adjustment system. Its screw-down caseback is embossed with a Seahorse medallion.

Did you know?

The material used for the case is Moonshine gold, but what else? Unique to the brand, this material is an exclusive alloy of 18K yellow gold. It is inspired by moonlight standing out against a deep blue night sky. As well as being poetic, it offers a unique hue, paler than traditional yellow gold, and greater resistance to fading and loss of luster over time. Its unique composition includes silver, copper and palladium for color and stability.

The caliber

This watch is powered by a chronometer-certified movement: the OMEGA Co-Axial caliber 3330. This is a self-winding chronograph equipped with a column-wheel mechanism, a Co-Axial escapement and a balance-spring fitted with a Si14 silicon balance-spring. This movement offers 52 hours of power reserve.
