A journey through time. The Oris Divers Sixty-Five brilliantly revisits the emblematic design of diving watches from the 60s!
A diver's watch with vintage allure
The Divers Sixty-Five collection pays tribute to Oris's first diver's watch released in 1965. Revived at Baselworld 2015 as Divers 65, its success continues thanks to its contained dimensions, vintage look and controlled price, whatever the version.
On this reference, we find a 40 mm-diameter steel case with water resistance to 100 meters and an oversized screw-down winding crown. This watch features a domed blue dial, contrasted with cream-colored elements that complete its vintage look while offering optimal legibility. On this version, we love the distinctive typography of the hour markers, inspired by the “Skins-Divers” divers of the 60s and 70s! The trapezoidal date aperture at 6 o'clock is also part of this functional design. The historic Oris coat of arms, the brand's logo at the time, is engraved on the caseback.
The Oris Divers Sixty-Five nonetheless retains the technical features of a 21st-century watch: a unidirectional rotating bezel in black aluminum, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, and hands and hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova® instead of the tritium used in the 1960s.
A “Swiss Made” automatic movement
This Oris Divers Sixty-Five is powered by the Oris 733 movement, designed on a Sellita SW 200-1 base. This automatic caliber beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and offers a power reserve of 38 hours. It features an instantaneous date window at 6 o'clock, as well as a fine adjustment and stop seconds system.
In brief:
