Created in 1978 by Henri d'Origny, the Arceau watch is distinguished by its asymmetrical lugs, inspired by stirrups, and the exclusive oblique typography of its hour markers. This interpretation in a 40 mm steel case is positioned in a more watchmaking vein, with a subtle interplay between modern proportions and classic inspirations.

The opaline silver dial, enhanced by a chevron pattern, offers a refined texture and flawless legibility. It is brought to life by slender hands and a discreet date window. The whole is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, also present on the case back to admire the movement.

This version is distinguished by its long, single-wrap matte abyss blue alligator strap. This exceptional leather, signed by Hermès, adds unique depth and a luxurious finish. As always, each strap is crafted by hand, with the natural irregularities characteristic of this noble material.

Movement: the mechanical heart of Hermès

This model is powered by the Hermès H1837 caliber, a self-winding movement developed in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture, bearing the founding date of the Hermès Maison in its name: 1837. It is a 3.70 mm thick caliber, designed as a true “tractor.” It beats at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and incorporates a double barrel, ensuring a comfortable power reserve of 50 hours.

This movement displays the hours, minutes and date in a fluid and refined style, while revealing its architecture through the transparent case back.
