Cape Cod, a watch born from a square within a rectangle

Created in 1991, the Cape Cod was born from an audacieuse idea: to inscribe a square within a rectangle. This subtle geometry, created by iconic designer Henri d'Origny, became one of the cornerstones of Hermès watchmaking.

With its stylized “anchor chain” links, it asserts a graphic style that is both contemporary and timeless.

The small 31 mm model presented here has a steel case with soft proportions (31 mm from lug to lug and 23 mm wide), perfect for slender wrists.

Design

The natural white mother-of-pearl dial is adorned with eight diamond hour markers set in chatons (total weight: 0.02 ct), adding a delicate touch of sparkle. The Cape Cod's characteristic Arabic numerals are lightened here to highlight the texture and reflections of the mother-of-pearl.

Available with a long, single-wrap Swift calfskin strap in a long length, the watch exudes chic, casual, tone-on-tone elegance. As always with Hermès, each natural leather strap is unique in its grain, color, and subtle variations.
