A brief history

Since its creation, Bell & Ross has designed watches for extreme professionals: fighter pilots, combat divers, bomb disposal experts, and members of special forces. The BR 03 collection, with its iconic round dial design in a square case inspired by cockpit instruments, has become the brand's signature.

Created in 1985, the RAID (Recherche, Assistance, Intervention, Dissuasion) is the elite unit of the French National Police, specializing in extreme crisis management: hostage-taking, terrorism, violent criminals, and high-risk missions. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of this discreet and effective unit, Bell & Ross has designed an exclusive commemorative watch for 2020, conceived as a professional tool but also as a tribute to the men and women of the RAID.

The BR 03-92 RAID edition, produced in a limited edition of only 110 pieces, embodies the values of this intervention force: discipline, efficiency, mastery, and total commitment. True to the spirit of the Maison Bell & Ross, this watch adopts a sober and tactical aesthetic, directly inspired by military instrumentation and the concrete needs of operators in the field.

Presentation

Equipped with a lightweight, anti-reflective and virtually scratch-proof 42 mm matt black ceramic case, the BR 03-92 RAID adopts a minimalist approach in the service of efficiency. Its black dial features large white photoluminescent numerals (Super-LumiNova®), ensuring immediate readability even in extreme conditions. At 6 o'clock, the RAID crest is discreetly displayed, recalling the unique identity of this anniversary edition.

Under the hood is the BR-CAL.302 automatic movement, offering clear reading of the hours, minutes, seconds, and a discreet date window between 4 and 5 o'clock. Water resistance is guaranteed to 100 meters, ensuring reliable use in the field. The watch comes with two interchangeable straps: a durable black rubber strap and an ultra-robust black synthetic fabric strap, suitable for all situations.

But it is on the back of the case that this edition reveals its most personal touch: the acronym of the operator assigned to the watch is engraved on the case back. A rare, confidential and meaningful personalization that makes each piece unique, both a professional tool and a symbol of belonging.

The watch has been serviced in our workshops, where it has undergone a Witschi movement and accuracy check, a water resistance test and a complete cleaning. It therefore comes with our one-year Lepage Vintage warranty, for complete peace of mind.
