The Superocean spirit in a modernized version

Since its creation in 1957, the Superocean Heritage has embodied a unique idea of the diving watch: high-performance yet elegant; technical yet aesthetic. Breitling has always offered models that combine adventure and style, through iconic references such as the 1004 and the 807. In 2025, the collection is evolving while remaining true to its DNA, with a targeted update: revised proportions, a more refined finish, and above all, the arrival of the B31 manufacture caliber in the three-hand models.

The 42 mm format occupies an ideal position in the range: more restrained than the 44 mm, but with a strong presence on the wrist. This watch is designed to be worn every day, offering both aesthetic pleasure and technical reliability.

The model: pure efficiency, monochrome aesthetics

The AB3111241B1S1 reference features an all-black look. Its matte black dial is easy to read and uncluttered, framed by a scratch-resistant black ceramic unidirectional bezel. The arrow-shaped hands and applied hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimal readability in the dark or underwater. The date is discreetly positioned at 6 o'clock.

The black textured rubber strap is supple, robust and ergonomic, ensuring great comfort. It gives the watch a more dynamic silhouette than the mesh version, perfectly suited to active or sporting use. Water-resistant to 200 meters, protected by a double-sided anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal, and fitted with a transparent screw-down case back, this Superocean Heritage is as at home on land as it is in the deep sea.

The B31 caliber: a new generation of in-house manufacturing

Unveiled in 2025, the caliber B31 marks a key milestone in Breitling's in-house movement strategy.

This three-hand, date mechanism, developed entirely in-house, offers a comfortable power reserve of 78 hours. It features a robust, proven architecture with bidirectional automatic winding, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and COSC chronometer certification.

Silent, smooth, and remarkably stable, the B31 is a superb three-hand manufacture caliber that makes no compromises on quality. Visible through the transparent case back, it reveals itself with understated elegance and beautiful finishes.
