La Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo 17 rend hommage au commandant Eugene Cernan et à la dernière mission lunaire Apollo, datant de 1972.
La légendaire montre Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch est la seule montre à être allée six fois sur la lune preuve de la confiance absolue des astronautes. Apollo 17, l a dernière de ces missions, s’est déroulée en 1972. Pour commémorer le 45 ème anniversaire de cette mission lunaire et en hommage à son commandant, Eugene Cernan, la Maison Omega vous propose une version très limitée de la mythique Speedmaster Moonwatch. Ce modèle en acier édité à 1972 exemplaires pour le monde arbore une lunette et un cadran en céramique bleue soulignés de touches d’or jaune. Le compteur des secondes de la montre, gravé en PVD couleur chrome, est orné d'une représentation de la Lune et d'Apollon. La mention 05:34 GMT fait écho à l'heure à laquelle Eugene Cernan, et donc le dernier homme pour le moment, a foulé le sol de la lune. Digne représentate de la famille Speedmaster Moonwatch, cette série limitée Apollo XVII est équipée du mythique calibre 1861 à remontage manuel.
