The Legend Diver by Longines is directly inspired by an emblematic model from 1958. It has retained all the codes that made it a success, while being modernised to meet today's expectations. The collection has seduced a considerable number of enthusiasts, attracted by all the richness of this watch. Longines is now presenting its new model in a reduced case size of 39 mm.
The new Legend Diver 39 mm
Presented on a completely redesigned 39 mm case, the new Longines Legend Diver is certified as a Diving Watch (ISO 6425), with water resistance to 30 bars / 300 metres. You will be delighted to discover the monochrome design of this Legend Diver, characterised by a steel case 39 mm in diameter and 12.70 mm thick. It houses an automatic L888.6 calibre movement with 3 hands (2 of which are luminescent). A diver's watch par excellence, this reference is also recognisable by its bi-directional rotating inner bezel, operated by the crown at 2 o'clock. This will enable you to measure the time spent underwater.
ISO 6425 diving watch certification
The ISO 6425 standard is drawn up by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and specifies the criteria and requirements for diving watches. According to this standard, a diver's watch must be water-resistant to a minimum depth of 100 metres / 10 bar (the immersion test must be carried out with an overpressure of 25% in relation to the desired water-resistance), be resistant to shocks, magnetic fields, condensation, corrosion and temperature variations, be equipped with a dive time indicator (e.g. rotating bezel) and offer optimum readability in the dark thanks to luminous indices.
Function
This new range is powered by an exclusive Longines L888.6 calibre, equipped with a silicon balance spring and innovative components, offering resistance to magnetic fields ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard. This extremely precise self-winding movement offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
