The basics

The Tudor Pelagos is the tool watch par excellence and symbolizes the brand's attachment to the aquatic environment. In 2015 the Pelagos is the first Tudor watch to be equipped with movements developed and produced in-house, a first step towards a large-scale industrial project designed to offer greater independence to the brand founded in 1926 by Hans Wilsdorf. When the Pelagos model was developed, it was done so under real conditions based on numerous tests around the world and in particular in Lake Geneva, near Tudor's headquarters in Geneva. The Pelagos is characterized by a high level of waterproofness, guaranteed up to 500 meters, coupled with a helium valve for so-called "saturation" dives.

Its advantages

Unveiled in 2016, this Pelagos in titanium LHD for Left Hand Diver has an evocative design and all the DNA of the Pelagos family. This Tudor has a particularly successful vintage look dial thanks to the application of a luminescent material on the indexes and hands in beige that recalls the shade of tritium patina of old watches. It is equipped with a Tudor manufacture movement certified chronometer by the Contrôle Officiel des Chronomètres Suisses (COSC), the MT5612 caliber, which has first-rate assets: 70-hour power reserve, regulation by a variable inertia oscillator with a silicon balance spring and a through bridge. Finally, a charming detail, its date disc alternates red (even dates) and black (odd dates) in a subtle reminder of the Ref. 7021 released in 1969, the first Tudor diver's watch with a date disc called roulette (in reference to the casino game).

A real diver

This diver's watch signed Tudor is certified waterproof to 500 meters! Its technical and very easy to use bracelet is equipped with a self-adjusting extension system developed and patented by the Swiss company. For more comfort during your outings at sea, an additional black rubber strap with a pin buckle and additional extension strand is provided. The little extra? The helium valve! Known by professionals, this valve is an essential device for the preservation of the watch when diving.
