Launched in 1999, the Highlife collection has left its mark on the history of Geneva-based Frederique Constant. Since its launch, it has embodied the values that have contributed to the brand's success: a faithful design inspired by fine Swiss watchmaking, a high degree of finishing and particular care to offer the fairest price for accessible luxury.

A seventies design with a Heart Beat dial

The Highlife Heart Beat joins a long line of sport-chic watches with a very Seventies design, with its seductive, curvaceous lines! Its 41mm steel case alternates polished and satin-finished surfaces, and its lornless design means that the ostrich leather strap falls smoothly and naturally onto the wrist. A special feature of the Highlife collection, the latter is interchangeable, and can be alternated with its second rubber strap with no tools required.

Its matte white dial opens to reveal the beating of its balance wheel. At the center of this dial is the guilloché motif of the Earth, the aesthetic signature of the Highlife collection. The whole is, of course, protected by a domed sapphire crystal. Its design plunges you into easy time-reading thanks to the railway track and blue Arabic numeral hour markers, overhung by three blued steel hands with a vintage look.

Technical side

The Manufacture has real expertise in open-heart watches. Indeed, Frédérique Constant's first Heart Beat watch saw the light of day in 1994. Since then, its original design has frequently been taken up and copied, but it is never as pure and authentic as within a genuine Frédérique Constant watch. Today, that's what this Highlife Heart Beat offers: a tribute to the founding spirit of the Maison, the rediscovery of a design that is in turn in line with the brand's classics.

Thus, this timepiece embarks the self-winding FC-310 caliber. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a comfortable 38-hour power reserve, but above all a handsome finish. Visible through its transparent caseback, the timepiece exposes its mechanical intimacy and the finishes dear to the Geneva manufacture, such as Côtes de Genève and perlage, without limit.
