The origin

The BVLGARI BVLGARI watch was born in 1977, in the wake of a digital watch then produced in limited series. Enhanced by a bezel engraved with the inscription "BVLGARI ROMA" this creation had been offered, in 1975, to the 100 best customers of the brand on the occasion of the Christmas holidays. As soon as it was launched, this timepiece quickly became in demand, and requests to reissue the model poured in. To meet this demand, a new limited edition in yellow gold, available exclusively in the Rome boutique, was launched in 1976. But one year later, the passion for these limited models gave birth to the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch, one of the Italian Maison's greatest icons!

If this model worked so well, it's because this original design was deeply linked to the brand's history and its Roman origins, which are inspired by Italian architecture and art. The BVLGARI BVLGARI engraved logo was integrated into the watch's design and, for the first time, became an essential element of high-end watchmaking: a distinction that made the brand famous. In reality, this seemingly innovative intuition was closely linked to Bulgari's identity and origins. The Italian house drew its inspiration from the coins of Ancient Rome, on which the effigy of the emperor was surrounded by engraved inscriptions praising his power and prestige. The unprecedented volume of the BVLGARI BVLGARI cylindrical case, equally remarkable, was again borrowed from the Roman era, more specifically from the imposing columns of temples - a simple feature at first glance, but born of meticulous architectural study. Strengthened by this singularity, the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch marked the beginning of a new era in design - one whose influence still transcends our century.

A watch, which over time has become one of the symbols of the brand itself. Even though it has undergone slight modifications over the years, it has always retained its fundamental aesthetic characteristics.

A chronograph version

The BVLGARI BVLGARI we're offering is the model in its automatic chronograph version! This watch offers a 42 mm steel case and is equipped with the classic chronograph functions: central chronograph seconds hand, small seconds at 3 o'clock, 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock and 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. This Chrono model is powered by the ETA 2892-A2 caliber with chronograph module. A reliable, high-performance caliber!

The main attraction of this version is its integrated steel bracelet with a polished-brushed finish, giving it a most appreciable sport-chic feel. Finally, the black dial is textured with a pattern, bringing a nice depth with the sub-counters.
