A dial nicknamed "Kirazuri"

As with most Grand Seiko models, this watch is inspired by a "Moment of Time" and Japanese landscapes! Thus, this "Kirazuri" model represents the winter that suddenly arrives in Shinshu, the region home to the workshops where Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are created. At night, frost forms on the trees. When the sun rises, for a brief but unforgettable moment, it sparkles in the light before melting away. The ephemeral beauty of this phenomenon is detected in this dial.

The hands and hour markers, diamond-cut and polished to the point of resembling precious metal, also sparkle like ice. The power reserve indicator, located at 8 o'clock, reveals the energy stored by the spring. We particularly appreciate the black text, date numerals and power reserve gauge indications, which subtly sparkle on the frosted white dial.

What's more, this watch features a 40 mm-diameter steel case with "Zaratsu" polished surfaces that intersect beautifully with the brushed surfaces. A fully brushed "Oyster" look bracelet dresses the watch, making it ideal as a daily watch !

An exceptional Spring Drive caliber

This SBGA465 is powered by a Manufacture 9R65 self-winding Spring Drive caliber. This unique movement from Manufacture Grand Seiko demonstrates all the Japanese brand's expertise and mastery in movement design. It combines all the group's technologies, with a mechanical caliber base, but where the traditional escapement has been replaced by a "Tri-synchro", housing a quartz crystal. Few watchmakers can offer such a caliber, as it is highly complex and unique on the market.

This movement produced at the Shinshu Watch Studio offers exceptional precision of one second per day, as well as a 72-hour power reserve. And thanks to the Spring Drive movement, the seconds hand glides noiselessly and smoothly over the dial, without "ticking", perfectly reflecting the natural, perpetual flow of time!

This Grand Seiko is in excellent condition! This model will be delivered to you Full Set, with its original case as well as all its documents. As the piece is from 2022, it therefore benefits from the GRAND SEIKO Manufacture warranty until 2027. This SBGA465 has been authenticated and controlled by our watchmakers and as such also benefits from the Lepage Vintage 1-year warranty.
