The Grand Seiko GMT watch celebrates the ever-changing seasons. Each model represents one of the 24 seasonal phases of the year or “sekki”, this one celebrating autumn! The Grand Seiko SBGE271 “Kanro” is a Spring Drive GMT model inspired by Japanese autumn nights. Featuring a textured black dial, second time zone and 72-hour power reserve, this NOS (New Old Stock) timepiece combines the poetry of the seasons with extreme precision.

Among the brand's iconic innovations, Spring Drive occupies a central place: a hybrid technology unique in the world, which combines mechanical tradition with electronic regulation to offer unparalleled precision and a perfectly fluid glide of the second hand.

The model: Spring Drive GMT “Kanro”

The SBGE271 model is part of Grand Seiko's “Nature of Time” series, celebrating the beauty of the Japanese seasons. This model evokes the moment of Kanro (寒露) - the “cold dew” - one of the 24 micro-seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar, corresponding to the transition to long, clear autumn nights.

Its deep, mysterious, textured black dial echoes the night sky at this time of year. It is enhanced by faceted hands and hour-markers, polished using the Zaratsu technique, ensuring perfect readability. A gold-plated GMT hand enables the wearer to read a second time zone, while the power-reserve indication positioned at 8 o'clock is a reminder of the technical sophistication of the Spring Drive movement.

The 41 mm steel case, with polished and brushed finishes, has clean lines and understated elegance. It is mounted on a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.

The movement

The SBGE271 is powered by the Spring Drive 9R66 caliber, an automatic movement with GMT function, which displays an accuracy of ±1 second per day. It offers a power reserve of 72 hours, with a direct reading on the dial. The movement, visible through the transparent case back, reveals an exemplary level of finishing, in line with Grand Seiko standards.

The package

This Grand Seiko Heritage is a NOS (New Old Stock) model, in mint condition and in perfect working order. It comes with its box and all its documents. It also comes with the GS guarantee for a period of five years.
