Modern reinterpretation of the 1959 Alpinist

This SPB337 is the first "Black Series" watch from the Prospex "Terre" collection but with dive watch influences. Its "Alpinist" design is still inspired by the model first launched in 1959 for the Japanese "Yama-otoko" mountain men. It is easily recognized by its iconic double crown look. It is a sporty model, designed for both outdoor and everyday use. Indeed, this watch is meant to be an example of durability and reliability, and offers a water resistance of 200 meters, making it perfect for all activities.

With a diameter of 39.5 mm and a thickness of 13.2 mm, its proportions are pleasing. The dial features a grainy texture, with applied indexes. This model features long-lasting green Lumibrite Pro technology on the hands and indexes. This luminescent material glows bright green wherever you are, even in the darkest of places. And the black dial keeps glare to a minimum, ensuring optimal readability.

This Prospex Alpinist embeds the self-winding manufacture caliber 6R35. This is one of the Japanese firm's must-have movements that is notably used in most of the brand's heart-of-the-range watches. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a comfortable 72-hour power reserve, allowing you to alternate with your other watches without having to systematically wind it. Designed to be reliable and robust, its construction is intended to be as simple as possible. Accuracy-wise, Seiko's stated tolerance is -15 to +25 seconds per day.
