This meticulous craftsmanship makes possible the extremely accurate measurement of time that the Grand Seiko mechanical movement provides. Grand Seiko's mechanical movements are tested against a unique and rigorous set of standards for 17 days. The movement is tested under different conditions including six different positions and three different temperatures. Its daily variations must meet strict tolerance rates to earn Grand Seiko status.
