Raymond Weil continues to expand its Millésime collection with this new Small Seconds version featuring a denim blue dial, which completes a range that has been recognized with an award at the GPHG 2023.

True to its spirit of independence and its commitment to beautiful, accessible watchmaking, the Geneva-based Maison revisits the codes of classic three-hand watches with meticulous attention to detail.

This version with a deep blue dial perfectly expresses the duality sought in the collection: retro aesthetic inspiration combined with modern execution and genuine contemporary practicality.

Design

The denim blue sectorized dial stands out with its clear geometric architecture, structured into three zones. The smooth hour track, the minute track decorated with a snail pattern, and the vertically brushed central zone create a refined and graphic ensemble. This composition allows for easy reading of the time while adding visual depth.

The small seconds at 6 o'clock is framed by a discreetly recessed circle, which introduces a subtle transition between the different zones of the dial. This play of depth gives a particular dynamic to the reading, while reinforcing the coherence of the composition.

The silver-plated, faceted Dauphine hands, coated with Super-LumiNova®, ensure excellent readability even in low light conditions. The whole is topped by a domed Glassbox sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, whose vintage inspiration gives the watch a distinctive aesthetic signature.

The 39.5 mm stainless steel case, with a thickness of just 10.25 mm, features a subtle interplay of finishes: a vertically satin-finished bezel, polished bevel, polished lugs on the top and satin-finished on the sides. It is complemented by a flexible five-link steel bracelet with alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces and a folding clasp with double pushers.

Movement

This model is powered by the RW4251 automatic caliber, based on the Sellita SW261-1, a movement renowned for its robustness and reliability. It offers a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), a power reserve of 38 hours, and hour, minute, and small seconds displays at 6 o'clock.

The transparent sapphire case back allows the movement to be seen in action, notably the oscillating weight engraved with the Raymond Weil “W” monogram. Understated yet effective, this movement is perfectly integrated into the watch, focusing on the essentials: readability, comfort on the wrist and the beauty of the dial.
