Launched in 1957, the Superocean immediately established itself as a benchmark in the world of diving watches, with a strong aesthetic signature and a unique stylistic approach.

Through its flagship models, such as the three-hand reference 1004 and the 807—the world's first diving chronograph—Breitling has successfully combined technical excellence with visual refinement. The Superocean Heritage collection, successfully relaunched in 2017, continues this heritage with a contemporary twist.

In 2025, Breitling is offering this iconic line a new evolution. Refined proportions, optimized readability, and a strong presence. But above all, the arrival of the B31 caliber, a three-hand automatic movement manufactured in-house, adds a new technical dimension to the non-chronograph models in the range. More than just an update, this is a visible and tangible upgrade, designed for enthusiasts of fine mechanics and watch design alike.

The model: the most authentic

The AB3112241B1A1 is undoubtedly the most understated and universal of the Superocean Heritage 44 models. Its 44 mm steel case features a unidirectional black ceramic bezel, matching the perfectly legible black dial. The latter features three central hands, a date at 6 o'clock and Super-LumiNova®-treated applied hour markers in a symmetrical and refined layout.

The Ocean Classic Milanese mesh bracelet reinforces the vintage character of the ensemble, while providing superior comfort on the wrist. It is reminiscent of the first diving watches of the mid-20th century, while meeting contemporary requirements. Water-resistant to 200 meters, protected by a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal and featuring a transparent case back, this watch combines all the attributes of a professional tool with luxurious aesthetics.

The B31 caliber: a new generation of in-house manufacturing

Unveiled in 2025, the B31 caliber marks a key milestone in Breitling's in-house movement strategy. This three-hand, date mechanism, developed entirely in-house, offers a comfortable power reserve of 78 hours. It features a robust and proven architecture with bidirectional automatic winding, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and COSC chronometer certification.
