The little story

The Geneva collection was introduced in 1953 by the Manufacture in Biel. With these models, Omega wanted to offer elegant references with a particularly luxurious finish and presentation, but at more competitive prices than the Omega Constellation line. These models used the same high quality movements as the other collections, but were priced more competitively in order to target a younger audience. Today, the watches from the Genève series allow collectors to acquire vintage models with timeless designs, charming us with their beautiful textured dials.

So Sixties

Terribly vintage but easy to wear, we are delighted to present this lovely and charming 1960's Omega Genève, reference 161.009. Its beautiful case is in excellent condition and houses an automatic calibre 562 that beats at a rate of 19,8000 vibrations per hour. This calibre was usually used for Omega watches certified as chronometers! Its 34 mm diameter makes it a ladies' or men's watch for everyday wear. Its silver sunray dial is distinguished by its black hands and silver indexes overlaid with black. The whole is protected by a curved Omega plexiglass.

According to the serial number of the piece we are offering today, this watch was first issued in 1962

The package

This vintage Omega Geneva watch is in excellent condition. Its original strap has been changed for a black alligator grain leather strap. We love the dial and the automatic calibre, a rare feature in the Genève collection! It will be delivered in a revision case.
