The Kalpa is the second collection designed by Michel Parmigiani, the founder of the eponymous Manufacture. Inspired by the golden ratio, the polished steel tonneau case has been designed to perfectly fit your wrist. Indeed, to define the contours of this creation, the watchmaker based himself on the golden ratio and the natural proportions of the Finbonacci sequence. These mathematical values, used in architecture, allow harmony and aestheticism to be achieved. The teardrop shaped lugs are born from the application of the golden ratio and this is why the watch falls perfectly on your wrist.

Unconventional, the aesthetic choices of the Manufacture make this watch very elegant. Its orange dial is finely guilloché with a wave pattern, and offers a contrast with the silvered small seconds counter and the blued hand. This version is very rare, and without a doubt, this piece will delight a lover of independent watchmaking.

A Haute Manufacture mechanism

The calibres of Parmigiani Fleurier watches are produced by the Manufacture Vaucher. Specialising in the manufacture of top-of-the-range mechanical movements, it has been owned since 2003 by the Parmiagni Fleurier watchmaking group and supplies the most prestigious watchmaking brands such as Hermès and Richard Mille.
The movement powering this Kalpa XL is Calibre 331, which is designed to be reliable and precise on a daily basis with its 55-hour power reserve and its frequency of 4 Hz, and in accordance with Parmigiani Fleurier standards, all 220 components are carefully decorated - Côtes de Genève and bevelled bridges, in particular. Two barrels mounted in series and 32 jewels complete the calibre. The watch is COSC-certified, a guarantee of high precision and reliability.
