Reinventing haute horlogerie for the 21st century implies a whole new conception of the relationship we have with watches. A watch obviously has a functional role to play in our lives. But beyond this function, the link is emotional. The new TYPE 1° Round perpetuates Ressence's minimalist representation of time. It features rotating discs that display the time in a two-dimensional format, with a truly ergonomic design. Like all Ressence watches, the TYPE 1° Round aims to create a deep, emotional and tactile bond between the watch and its owner. Ressence wants its customers to fall in love with their watches. With this in mind, every detail of this new design has its raison d'être and helps to awaken the senses.

All round

In its quest for the purest expression of time, the design aims to reaffirm the beauty of simple, essential and sensual forms. The sapphire crystal harmoniously hugs the case in a simple, minimalist radius of great purity. The pebble-shaped design, emblematic of the TYPE 3, invites itself into the elegant design of the TYPE 1 and adopts its ROCS 1 module. The result is a watch with extremely satisfying tactile quality that will adapt to all wrists and styles to become an everyday companion. Colorful details

Beyond the case enhancements, the TYPE 1° Round incorporates new details that make all the difference.

The nickel silver dial of this TYPE 1° Round unveils a simplified graphic concept with hour markers every 10 minutes and a day-of-week dial that subtly unites the two days of the weekend with a splash of color. The seconds and weekday hands are larger for improved legibility.

Tinted red, blue, yellow and green, the rotating discs indicating hours, minutes, seconds and days of the week create a subtle play of pastel contrasts against the dial's light gray background. These soft primary colors blend perfectly with the timeless curves and tactile sensitivity of the T1° Round case, establishing a harmonious link between form, color and material.

A dial with refined details

While the numerals and indexes are painted white, the gray hands feature a touch of color on their tips. These engraved indications are also filled with high-quality Super-LumiNova®.

Without crown?

Without a crown, the Type 1 Round is designed to be comfortable on both right and left wrists. But without a crown, how does it work? The secret lies on the back of the case, where a retractable lever allows us to find the functions of a classic crown: winding the mechanism, setting the time and the day of the week... With this system, the user becomes one with his watch. All this is made possible by a unique system, the ROCS...

The Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS 1)

The patented ROCS 1 (Ressence Orbital Convex System) is a state-of-the-art watch complication module made up of 107 parts, whose main and secondary disks are visible directly on the dial. The result is a three-dimensional, constantly evolving movement. This module is driven by the minute axis of a specially modified ETA 2892/A caliber. It offers 36 hours of power reserve, and retains its usual frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The watch functions are classic: seconds (small hands), minutes (the large hand running the length of the dial) and hours (the sub-dial graduated from 1 to 12). The days of the week are added with an AM/PM indication, presented on the last small dial.
