A design inspired by historic watchmaking

Launched in the wake of the success of the 39.5 mm version – acclaimed by the GPHG 2023 in the “Challenge” category – the Millésime 35 mm retains all the hallmarks of the award-winning model. Raymond Weil has concentrated the essentials of traditional watchmaking in this model: a rigorously constructed sectorized dial, harmonious proportions, a Swiss automatic mechanical movement, and a domed crystal that recalls the nobility of pocket watches from the 1930s.

This smaller format makes no compromises. It is designed for those who are looking for a more understated watch without sacrificing horological presence, with perfect legibility and finishes comparable to those of much more expensive timepieces.

A sage green sector dial of unexpected richness

The green shade chosen here – sage – is subtly textured, soft, mineral and surprisingly luminous. The dial is divided into three distinct zones, separated by finely crafted textures. The completely smooth hour track is punctuated by fine printed hour markers in a contrasting dark tone. The minute track, decorated with a spiral guilloché pattern, is remarkably delicate, adding a subtle yet structuring visual relief.

The central zone, with its vertical brushing, plays with the light depending on the angle of the wrist, while enhancing the depth of the green color. The whole is highlighted by a printed cross, a nod to military or scientific observation watches, but transposed here into a dressier aesthetic.

The faceted silver dauphine hands are coated with Super-LumiNova®. The central seconds hand sweeps smoothly across the dial, bringing constant movement to this perfectly balanced design.

A compact, comfortable and well-finished steel case

The 35 mm stainless steel case retains all the ergonomic qualities of the larger version. Its proportions – a modest thickness of 10.25 mm, short lugs, and soft lines – ensure absolute comfort, whatever the size of the wrist. The vertically satin-finished bezel contrasts beautifully with a polished bevel, catching the light without excessive shine.

The slightly curved lugs are polished on top and brushed on the sides, in an alternating finish worthy of watches much higher up the range. The five-link steel bracelet is fluid, supple and ergonomic, ending in a robust and perfectly integrated double-push-piece folding clasp.

A proven Swiss automatic movement

At the heart of the watch beats the RW4200 caliber, based on the Sellita SW200-1. This Swiss automatic movement is renowned for its reliability, stability over time, and ease of maintenance. It ensures smooth display of the hours, minutes, and central seconds, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of 41 hours.

The transparent sapphire case back allows you to admire the engraved oscillating weight with the discreet Raymond Weil “W” signature, which completes the visible mechanics without ostentation.
