The gold ring: a jewellery box essential

Traditional jewel, to offer to please or to offer to yourself, the gold ring is an essential, a strong piece to have absolutely in your jewellery box! Made of 18k gold (750 gold), all the rings on our e-shop are of the highest quality. Signed by Maison Lepage or the biggest names in jewellery such as Messika, Dior, dinh van, Boucheron, Ginette NY, La Brune et La Blonde, So Shocking, Aurélie Bidermann... these jewels are carefully crafted pieces, thought to accompany you on a daily basis as well as on special occasions!

18k gold (750 gold), the quality of excellence

The gold used to make Lepage jewellery, and all the jewellery we offer for sale, from the most beautiful Jewellery Maisons (Dior, Messika, dinh van, Le Gramme, Ginette NY, La Brune et La Blonde, Aurélie Bidermann...) is 750 thousandths gold (formerly known as "18k gold") It is called "750 thousandths gold" because this material is in fact an alloy, composed of 75% pure gold and 25% other precious metals, in order to give it strength and colour. In fact, pure gold in its natural state, although an unalterable metal, is too malleable to be used alone in the manufacture of jewellery and ceremonial objects. It must therefore be combined with other metals to be worked, generally, in the case of 18k gold (750 thousandths) (as there are also alloys of less noble quality, giving rise to 585 thousandths or 350 thousandths gold for example) to be combined with silver, copper or palladium to be. Gold is immutable and can be reused over and over again, it just needs to be melted down to be used again. At Lepage, we use recycled gold to make our jewellery in order to limit our ecological footprint as much as possible. Some of this gold is directly bought back from our customers, so we give a second life to your old jewellery, while preserving the planet's resources.

Hallmarks, to identify your gold ring

In order to know the quality of the gold in which your ring is made, you can check the hallmarks that have been stamped on the piece. The first type of hallmark is the so-called guarantee hallmark, or title hallmark. The Eagle's head hallmark guarantees a 750 thousandths gold title, the hallmark representing a scallop identifies 585 thousandths gold jewellery, and the cloverleaf hallmark concerns 375 thousandths gold jewellery. These official authentication hallmarks are accompanied by the master hallmark, which is that of the jeweller who made the piece, attesting to the provenance and quality of the jewel.

The white gold ring, timeless

A jewellery box essential, the white gold ring is an everyday piece of jewellery, which will last through the years without losing its beauty. Timeless, it's a sure bet!

White gold : what is it?

Like rose gold and yellow gold used by Jewellery Maisons, white gold is an alloy of several metals. White gold, before being treated, is also called "white gold". Indeed, it is the last step in the preparation of the jewel that gives it its beautiful, brilliant colour! This last step, rhodium plating, consists of depositing a very thin layer of rhodium (an extremely rare and precious metal) on the entire jewel, so as to cover it. This operation should be renewed regularly, every two or three years, so that your jewel never loses its beauty and remains radiant as on the first day!

The yellow gold ring, a must-have

Looking for a radiant piece of jewellery, giving off a sunny aura? Fall for a yellow gold ring, adorned with a diamond, a coloured stone, a resplendent pavement or a pretty fine stone!

Yellow gold : what is it?

A true benchmark, yellow gold is usually what the mere mention of the material "gold" evokes in us. Highly resistant to corrosion, stainless and unalterable, a piece of yellow gold jewellery naturally reveals its beautiful colour when simply polished, without further treatment. It will thus retain its beautiful colour over time, without developing a patina. As with white gold and rose gold, yellow gold used in jewellery is an alloy of several precious metals.

The rose gold ring, between softness and delicacy

Looking for a romantic jewel, exuding a soft aura? Why not fall for a rose gold ring? Discover a beautiful selection of 18k rose gold (750 gold) rings, signed by Lepage and the greatest luxury Maisons: Messika, Dior, dinh van, Boucheron, So Shocking...

Rose gold : what is it?

The 18k rose gold (750 gold) is generally composed of an alloy of pure gold, silver and especially copper, in a more or less important quantity. It is this same quantity of copper that gives it its pink colour, pronounced or not. For the creation of Lepage jewellery, we use a very soft rose gold, so that the colour remains easy to wear. Associated with a diamond or a coloured stone, rose gold gives life to poetic creations that will please the most romantic, and all those looking for a ring with character.
