Let's get to know each other
The Ingenieur collection from IWC was born in 1955, thanks to an automatic movement with bidirectional winding implemented by Albert Pellaton. Pellaton was photographed in 1936 alongside Mercedes W25 and the Swiss Manufacture presented this model to celebrate this history. Limited edition of 1000 pieces worldwide, its dial with a pearl finish and touches of red recalls the speedometer on the dashboard of the "silver arrow". Its caliber 89361 is a true haute horlogerie chronograph caliber, thanks to its flyback complication, its vertical clutch, its column wheel and its 68-hour power reserve.
What you need to know
This IWC Engineer watch is in excellent condition. Its engraved back represents a Mercedes W25, the mythical car that gave rise to the nickname "Silver Arrow".
