Raymond Weil's Millésime collection stands out as one of the finest examples of contemporary neo-vintage watchmaking. Drawing on the major stylistic codes of the 20th century without ever allowing them to become static, the Geneva-based company creates balanced, refined watches that are resolutely in tune with the times. Following an award-winning debut at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2023, the line is now expanded with this Tri-Compax chronograph, a testament to mastery and mechanical passion.

Designed as an everyday watch, the Millésime collection combines Swiss precision, understated elegance, and independent DNA. Here, it offers a chronograph of rare consistency, balanced in its proportions, sleek in its design and seductive in its finishes.

The model

The midnight blue dial with its sectorized architecture reveals a rich and structured graphic composition. Its surface alternates between a smooth hour track, a spiral-engraved minute track and a central area with a vertical brushed finish. Three slightly recessed silver counters—small seconds at 9 o'clock, 30-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock, and 12 hours at 6 o'clock—make up a symmetrical Tri-Compax display. Each is punctuated by light blue Arabic numerals, a nod to the historic codes of “reverse panda” dials.

The whole is bordered by a white tachymeter scale, subtly integrated into the ensemble, adding a controlled sporting dynamic. The faceted, elegantly brushed dauphine hands, coated with Super-LumiNova®, ensure perfect readability, day and night.

The 39.5 mm stainless steel case, topped with a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, reveals meticulous finishing: a vertically satin-finished bezel, polished lugs on the top and satin-finished on the sides, creating a refined play of light. The piston-operated chronograph pushers and the fluted crown engraved with the RW monogram complete this classic, balanced silhouette.

The watch is fitted with a supple, slightly grained navy blue calfskin strap with discreet gray “W” stitching and a polished steel ardillon buckle. The overall effect is an elegant, understated presence for this highly distinctive timepiece.

Mechanical

Beneath the dial lies the RW5030 caliber, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement based on the Sellita SW510 architecture. This caliber offers a power reserve of 62 hours, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and proven reliability for a watch built to last.

Visible through the transparent sapphire case back, the mechanics offer a sober and reassuring glimpse of the watchmaking craftsmanship. The case remains slim at 12.9 mm thick, ensuring excellent comfort on the wrist. Water-resistant to 50 meters, this model is suitable for everyday use without compromising on refinement.
