The basics

Since 1984, the Portofino collection has been combining time with the Italian art of living. It was in that year that IWC continued the tradition of classic gold watches by introducing the Portofino family. The Portofino Manual Winding Moon Phase (ref. 5251) was the flagship of the range. Based on the Lépine pocket watch (ref. 5201), this elegant, timeless wristwatch with an impressive 46 millimeter diameter quickly became a true icon. Since then, IWC Portofino watches have skilfully combined sobriety and complexity. It is one of the most prominent collections from IWC Schaffhausen.

What you need to know

This three-hand date edition in 18K rose gold is the epitome of Portofino style. Its 39 mm case is both generous and minimalist. In any case, it could not be more pleasant to wear. Its immaculate white dial is extremely legible and is covered with baton hour markers and very slender leaf-shaped hands also in pink gold.
