Raymond Weil continues to expand its Millésime collection with the introduction of an iconic complication: the moon phase. This 39.5 mm model combines the geometric precision of a sectorized dial with the softness of a moon phase display at 6 o'clock. True to the brand's DNA, this complication is poetic and accessible, without compromising on style or technique.

With its slim silhouette and perfect proportions, this timepiece builds on the success of the Small Seconds and Central Seconds models, adding extra soul with its curves and movement.

Design

The silver dial reveals a meticulous composition of three distinct circles: the outer minute track with its fine black markers, the sleek and fluid hour track, and a subtly vertically brushed center framed by a discreetly embossed central cross. Together, they form a sectorized, legible, balanced, and highly graphic dial.

The moon phase is located at 6 o'clock in a perfectly integrated circular opening. The design of the moon, with its serene face and stars in the background, evokes the aesthetics of vintage pocket watches. The display is understated yet expressive, lending the dial an instantly recognizable charm.

The Dauphine hands, nickel-plated and coated with Super-LumiNova®, are designed for absolute legibility. The 39.5 mm stainless steel case features refined finishes: a vertical satin-finished bezel, polished bevels, and polished lugs on the top and satin-finished on the sides. The whole is topped by a domed Glassbox sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment for optimal readability and a bold retro look.

The watch is mounted on a five-link stainless steel bracelet with alternating polished and satin finishes for comfort on the wrist and a fluid aesthetic. A folding clasp with double pushers completes the ensemble.

The movement

The model is equipped with the RW4280 automatic caliber, based on the Sellita SW280-1. This movement displays hours, minutes, central seconds, and moon phases, with a power reserve of 41 hours. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), ensuring excellent regularity.

Visible through a transparent clip-on case back, the caliber reveals its RW-signed oscillating weight. The case is just 10.05 mm thick, ideal for everyday wear, even under a shirt sleeve. Water-resistant to 50 meters, it is perfect for everyday use.
